Waffle Treats!

This past weekend we made one of our favorites from Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square, Magic Kingdom.  The waffles that we are making are the mickey waffle hazelnut spread with berries and bananas and the Mickey waffle with sweet and spicy maple chicken. 

Chocolate Hazelnut Topping and Fruit

Sweet and Spicy Chicken and Waffles

Chicken Tenders on top of a Crispy Waffle with the perfect sweet and spicy sauce to make it all come together.

Here are the recipes:

Mickey Waffle with Hazelnut spread w/ berries and bananas

Ingredients:

•  Box of waffle mix (we use krusteaz light and crispy Belgian waffle mix)

• Hazelnut spread (we use Nutella)

• strawberries

• blueberries

• Bananas

Recipe:

1. Preheat waffle iron and lightly grease 

2. make waffle batter according to your box

3. cook waffle batter until golden brown

4. make your waffle by spreading hazelnut spread and adding bananas and berries

5. enjoy!

Sweet and spicy chicken maple Mickey waffle

Ingredients

• Box of waffle mix (we use Krusteaz light and crispy Belgian waffle mix)

• chicken tenders ( we use Just Bare Tenders)

• 2 tablespoons of butter

• 1 ½ cups of maple syrup

• ¾ cup of sriracha sauce

Recipe:

1. Preheat oven and waffle iron and lightly grease waffle iron

2. Make waffle batter according to box instructions

3. put tenders in once oven is preheated 

4. Make sauce by melting butter in saucepan and adding maple and sriracha. Let simmer until flavors combine, about 10 minutes.

5. Build waffle by putting chicken on first then drizzling sauce over waffle

6. Enjoy!
